Why the label matters as much as the packaging
A food product is often bought in seconds, on the strength of how the packaging looks on the shelf. Paper absorbs it and wrinkles; film does not.

Materials that survive the fridge and freezer

What must appear on a food label in the EU
Food sold in Estonia is labelled under EU Regulation 1169/2011: the name of the food, net quantity, date marking, storage instructions where needed, a lot number for traceability, and the operator's name and address — and the mandatory information must appear in Estonian.

What is the minimum order for food labels?

Which material survives the fridge or freezer?
PP film with a permanent, moisture-tolerant adhesive — it absorbs no water, so it stays flat and legible on a cold, damp package. For chilled and frozen products, film with a freezer adhesive holds down to around −40 °C. Paper can also be used, protected with lamination.
What must appear on a food label in the EU?
