Drink labels
Goldinken prints drink labels digitally on rolls for juices, kombucha, lemonades and craft beverages — condensation-proof film, the clear no-label look, a deposit mark and barcode that return machines read, and wash-off adhesives for returnable glass. No minimum order; rolls reach Estonia within days.
A drink label lives the hardest life of any label
A bottle of juice or kombucha is chosen in seconds, from an arm's length away, in a fridge full of competitors — the label is doing most of the selling. And then it has to survive the journey: the cold room at the producer, the shop fridge, the sweating glass on a warm day, sometimes an ice bucket. Every one of those steps covers the bottle in condensation.
Paper absorbs that moisture, wrinkles and stains. Film does not. That single material decision is the difference between a bottle that still looks sharp at the table and one whose label is peeling before it is even sold.
The Goldinken approach: the label is specified for the bottle's whole route — cold chain, shelf, table, and (for deposit packaging) the return machine — not just for the product photo.
Why drink makers order from Goldinken
- No minimum order. Digital printing, no plates — each flavour, batch and seasonal edition gets its own label, even in small runs.

- Premium finishes. Foil accents, screen varnish and metallised film for limited editions and gift bottles.
- Made in the EU. Printed in Latvia on Avery Dennison and UPM Raflatac label stock, including food-contact-suitable adhesives (EU Regulation 10/2011).

Which material survives the fridge and the ice bucket?
White PP/BOPP film — the workhorse
The default for drinks: absorbs no water, stays flat through the whole cold chain, prints bright colours cleanly and withstands everyday handling.
Clear film — the no-label look
On glass, a clear film label lets the drink's own colour do the selling — cold-pressed juice, amber kombucha, pale lemonade. Bright artwork needs a white underprint so the colours stay vivid against the liquid.
Paper, kraft and textured paper
The warm, craft look — best for bottles that stay dry, or protected with lamination when they will not. Textured paper with a foil accent is the classic route for a premium or gift edition.
| Material | Cold / condensation | Look | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| White PP/BOPP film | Excellent | Bright, clean | everyday bottles and cans |
| Clear film | Excellent (right adhesive) | No-label look | glass bottles, colourful drinks |
| Paper / kraft / textured | Needs lamination | Craft, premium | dry storage, gift editions |
A label the return machine accepts
Most packaged drinks sold in Estonia — in glass, PET or cans — go through the national deposit system operated by Eesti Pandipakend. For the label, that means two practical requirements:
- The deposit mark must be clearly legible — printed at proper size and contrast, not tucked into a busy corner of the design.
- The EAN barcode must scan reliably — return machines identify the package by its barcode, so it needs clean contrast and a quiet zone around it.
Goldinken places and prints both so they scan; the registration of your package in the deposit system is agreed directly with Eesti Pandipakend. For returnable glass that gets washed and refilled, wash-off adhesives hold firmly in daily use but release cleanly in the bottle-washing process.
This is practical orientation, not legal advice — confirm your product's labelling and deposit obligations with Estonia's Agriculture and Food Board (PTA) and Eesti Pandipakend.

Frequently asked questions
Which material survives a cold, sweating bottle?
Polypropylene (PP/BOPP) film. It absorbs no water, so it stays flat and clean through the fridge, the cool room and the ice bucket. Paper labels wrinkle and stain in those conditions unless they are laminated — for drinks, film is the default.
Does the deposit mark have to be on the label?
Drinks sold in deposit packaging in Estonia carry the deposit mark, and both the mark and the EAN barcode must stay clearly readable so return machines accept the package. Goldinken prints them at proper size and contrast; the registration details for your product are agreed with Eesti Pandipakend, the deposit-system operator.
My bottles are returnable and refilled — will the label come off in the wash?
That is what wash-off adhesives are for: the label holds firmly through normal use, cold and condensation, but releases cleanly in the bottle-washing process so the glass can be refilled. Say so when ordering, and the adhesive is chosen accordingly.
Can I print several flavours in one order?
Yes. Digital printing runs several designs in the same order — one label per flavour or batch — with no plates and no minimum order per design. Small drink makers typically refresh labels batch by batch.
What must appear on a drink label in the EU?
The essentials under EU Regulation 1169/2011: the name of the food, ingredient list with allergens emphasised, net quantity, date marking, storage conditions where relevant, the operator's name and address, and a nutrition declaration — in Estonian for products sold in Estonia. This is general orientation, not legal advice; confirm your product's requirements with Estonia's Agriculture and Food Board (PTA).
How should the print file be prepared?
As a PDF in CMYK, with 3 mm bleed, vector logo and text, and images at 300 DPI or higher. Goldinken checks every file technically before the run starts.
