A candle sells a mood — the label sets it

Placement and material — what a candle asks of its label
Placement
The label goes at a safe distance from the flame zone: on the lower part of the vessel, on the base, or on a removable lid. On a glass vessel, a clear film label works beautifully — it lets the wax colour show through for a minimal, no-label look.
Material
Textured paper gives the expensive, hand-crafted feel that candle buyers respond to — the same paper family used on wine bottles. Where the label may touch wax or fragrance oils, choose film, which does not absorb grease; or protect the paper with a matte varnish or lamination that keeps its natural look. For the base safety label, film with durable print is the practical choice.
Safety notices
Good practice for candles sold in the EU is a set of burn-safety pictograms modelled on EN 15494 — never leave a burning candle unattended, keep away from children and pets, burn on a heat-resistant surface — usually placed on a round base label.
