How does the Goldinken label calculator work?

The calculator estimates the price in real-time based on label size, shape, material, adhesive, finish, roll parameters, and total quantity. You instantly see the price and estimated production time and can proceed to checkout or save the quote to your email.

What should I enter in the "Total Quantity" field?

Enter the total number of labels across all designs and rolls. For example, 5000 labels can be split into 5 rolls of 1000 or 10 rolls of 500 – you can specify this in the roll configuration section.

Can I print multiple designs in one order?

Yes, if all designs share the same size, material, and finish. The calculator allows you to specify the number of designs, and the total label quantity will be divided among them according to your instructions.

Is the calculator price final?

The calculator price includes printing and standard finishing. Shipping and VAT (if applicable) are calculated at checkout based on the delivery country, volume, and selected shipping method.

What if I don't know the exact parameters?

You can enter approximate values to get a price range. If you need help choosing materials, rolls, or adhesives, contact our support team – we will help align parameters with your packaging equipment and product needs.

Roll Configuration

How many labels come on one roll?

You can choose the desired number of labels per roll (e.g., 500, 1000, 2000, etc.). Or select by maximum diameter, and rolls will not be wound larger than this size during production.

What core diameters and winding directions are available?

We offer several core diameters (40 mm, 50 mm, 76 mm) as well as various winding directions (left, right, inside, outside). If you use automatic labeling machines, choose parameters according to the machine manufacturer's instructions; for manual application, you can choose the standard configuration.

What if I don't know the correct winding direction?

If unsure, we recommend checking your labeling machine documentation or photographing an existing roll and sending it to us. We will help choose the appropriate option to avoid issues on the production line.

Can I specify maximum roll diameter instead of label count?

Yes, you can enter the maximum allowed roll diameter to match your technical requirements.

Materials, Adhesives & Finishes

Which material should I choose for my product?

Currently, the calculator features materials with standard adhesive. A much wider range of materials and adhesives is available and will be added to the calculator over time. If you don't find what you need, please email a request.

  • Food & Beverages: Self-adhesive paper or film suitable for packaging contact in the food sector.
  • Cosmetics & Household Chemicals: Durable film (PP), including transparent or silver variants for a premium look.
  • Freezer / Wet Conditions: Film with appropriate adhesive and protective coating.

If unsure, describe your product and storage conditions – we will recommend the optimal combination.

What adhesives are available?

We offer several adhesive types: standard permanent, easily removable, freezer-grade, as well as adhesives that withstand other specific processes. It is important to specify the surface the label will be applied to and the conditions it will be used in.

What is the difference between varnish and laminate?

Varnish (gloss or matte) is a standard coating that protects the ink and gives a finished look.

Laminate provides higher mechanical and environmental resistance – it is recommended if labels are subject to intensive friction, contact with moisture, or chemicals.

Are special finishes available?

Yes, we also offer hot/cold foil, tactile varnish, Braille, perforations, variable data (serial numbers, expiry dates, etc.). Such options may affect price and production time – the calculator shows the base price, but more complex combinations can be quoted individually.

Design, Layout & Files

What file format and quality should be submitted?

Please submit PDF, AI, or EPS files with 300 DPI resolution, including at least 3 mm bleed and a safe zone. If using raster images (JPG/PNG), they must be of sufficiently high resolution.

What if my file is too large?

If the file size exceeds the limit allowed by email or the form, use a cloud service (e.g., WeTransfer, Google Drive, Failiem) and include the link in the order.

Do you help with layout design?

We offer layout services: minor corrections (barcodes, dates, text edits) and more significant changes (colors, image replacement, tables). We do not perform design "from scratch," translation, or proofreading, but can recommend designers we cooperate with.

Can I get a proof or samples before a full order?

Yes, before printing we prepare a digital proof (PDF) for approval. If you want to see the print result physically or compare several design variations, you can order a sample sheet – this is a paid service with a separate deadline.

Production, Deadlines & Delivery

What is the production turnaround time?

Standard order fulfillment time is usually 7–9 working days after layout and specification approval and payment. For more complex jobs, specific material orders, or during seasonal workloads, the deadline may be longer.

Do you offer express orders?

Yes, in certain cases, expedited production is possible. Specify the desired deadline, and we will inform you if it is possible to ensure it and how it will affect the price.

How does delivery work?

We ensure delivery via courier and parcel lockers in Latvia and other countries. In Latvia, standard delivery time is usually 1–2 working days; to other countries – depending on the selected courier and destination.

Can I pick up the goods in person?

Not at this time.

What if I receive damaged or poor-quality labels?

Please submit a claim as soon as possible after receiving the goods, adding a defect description, photo, or video. We evaluate each case individually and agree on correction, reprinting, or other solutions.

Orders, Payment & Reordering

How to place an order from start to finish?
  1. Configure product in calculator.
  2. Upload layout or indicate submission later.
  3. Fill contact info and delivery address.
  4. Receive proof for approval and prepayment invoice.
  5. After approval and invoice payment, order goes to production and is shipped within specified timeframe.
Can I easily reorder a previous order?

Currently, the customer system is in the creation process, so no data is saved. However, you can write to email and refer to the previously printed job.

Can I save a quote and order later?

The calculator is currently in the refinement process, so quotes cannot be saved.

What to do if changes are needed after approval?

If production has not yet started, we can make corrections to the specification or layout, agreeing on a new deadline and costs.

Account & Support

Do I need to create an account to order?

Currently, this function is not active.

How to handle technical issues with the page or calculator?

If an error message appears during ordering, don't be shy to save a screenshot and contact our support via email or chat. We will help complete the order and, if needed, format it manually.
